Terms of service.

The service

CutPoint provides data analysis, model backtests, and editorial commentary on energy markets, built from public primary sources (EIA, FRED, SEC EDGAR, TSA). Reader accounts are free; the Library subscription unlocks the desk terminal and full model cards.

Not investment advice

Nothing on CutPoint is investment, financial, trading, or legal advice. Model forecasts are statistical estimates with documented error rates — the model cards exist precisely so you can see how often they're wrong. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make. Past backtested performance does not predict future results.

Billing & refunds

Subscriptions are billed monthly by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record. You can cancel anytime from your account page; access continues to the end of the paid period. Refund requests are handled through Polar's customer portal under Polar's refund policy — write to support@cutpoint.app if you get stuck and we'll sort it out.

Founding-member pricing is locked to your account while your subscription remains active; it may lapse if you cancel and later resubscribe at the then-current price.

Acceptable use

One subscription, one person. Don't resell, scrape at abusive rates, or redistribute subscriber-only content in bulk. Quoting reasonable excerpts with attribution is welcome.

Warranty & liability

The service is provided "as is." Data originates from third-party primary sources and may contain errors or arrive late; we don't warrant completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CutPoint's total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding a claim.
